James Kaelan and cinematographer Miles Kittredge had a long trek on Friday to make it to their next rest stop in Dunsmuir, CA . . .

and, as it has become a regular and welcome chore, before the rest day could officially begin, James gave an interview to the Red Bluff Daily News.

Then, it was a weekend of river-watching and trampoline-competitions.

DAY 16

On the way to Davis, California for the reading at Avid Reader.

This message and photo came in, courtesy of Miles Kittredge, documentarian for the Zero Emission Book Project.

“Kaelan and the camera guy headed north to Davis today.  Kaelans dad joined for this leg of the journey.  The valley is hotter than a pepper sprout.”

DAY 4 – 14: Documentary Preview 2

So, here it is, ahead of schedule, just in time for James Kaelan and Miles Kittredge’s arrival in their hometown of Sacramento on Tuesday. As you can see, the tour is turning out to be a true adventure. But, the guys say it has, despite bumps in the road both proverbial and literal, been an amazing experience. And, they are only half-way done. That said, enjoy this second preview of the documentary thanks to flip cameras. Thanks again to our grand sponsors Bellwether and Cannondale. Thanks to you if you’ve bought the book or thank you in advance if you are about to.

DAY 7 – 12

The gentlemen are a quarter done with the riding portion of the tour, as of tomorrow. When they reach San Francisco they will have ridden about 450 miles. Here are some more photos to prove it. The next video will be up in a few days and will include footage of Ed the Vagrant, camping under bridges, and a frightening encounter with wild life. Again, if you are asking yourself, “Where’d these pictures come from?” thank the Lemnar Power Port Solar Charger for keeping Miles’ cell phone workin’ like a champ (also note: Lemnar is not a sponsor but makes a fine product). If you’re wondering how the gents are fairing, they say the Cannondale bikes are a dream, the sun sucks, sleeping on the beach can be scary, but overall they’re doing fine. See you all at Green Apple Books this Friday, July 16th for the next reading.

DAY 0 – 6: Photos

Here are some random photos sent by cinematographer Miles Kittredge, via his solar-charged phone! Thanks, Sun.

Miles and James were stopped by police shortly after this photo was taken. Someone reported that they'd been seen in a known "graffiti area."photo (5)photo (6)photo (1)photo (2)photo (8)
